Paella for 60.000 people

(Platja d'Aro - Girona)

Paella with 3700 kg. rice, 300 kg of meat, 1500 kg of tomatoes, 400 liters of oil, 3000 liters of water and garlic, red pepper and peas.


2. SMALLEST PAELLA

Paella of 8 cm. diameter

September 12, 1987

The smallest paella was cooked in the TV program “Por la mañana con Hermida”. Its ingredients were 20 gr. rice, 40 gr. water, 3 peas, 10 gr. of red pepper, a bit of rabbit, 1 mussel, 2 clams and 1 nephrop.


3. LARGEST 'PARRILLADA' (SPANISH BARBACUE)

Parrillada for 25.000 people

‘Parrillada’ with 4600 kg of meat, a grid of 200 m. long formed by the 5 Olympic rings of 40 m. joined togheter.

Barbacue for 40.000 people

June 5, 1988

(Rayo Amarillo football stadium - Cornellà - Barcelona)

In a grid of 300 m. we grilled 10,000 kilograms of pork chops and 1,500 kg. of potatoes.


5. LARGEST CHANFAINA (MEAT & VEGETABLES COOKED BY SIMMERING)

We used a paella pan of 7 m. diameter and a fire that consumed more than 2,000 kg. firewood.


6. LARGEST BUTIFARRA (CATALAN SAUSAGE)

Butifarra for 40.000 people

June 9, 1985

(Can Mercader - Cornellà - Barcelona)

5 kilometres long ‘Butifarra’ cooked after being cut along with 2,600 kg. of beans. It also were distributed 1,500 kg. of ‘all i oli’ (oil & garlic sauce), 3,000 kg. of bread and 10,000 liters of wine.


7. LARGEST PINCHO (CHOPS OF SPICY MEAT IN A ROW)

Pincho for 12.000 people

May 26, 1992

(Santa Coloma de Gramanet - Barcelona)

It was the largest skewer of cooked meat with a length of 400 meters in Santa Coloma de Gramanet.


8. LARGEST OMELETTE

Omelette for more than 8.000 people

Ahs Wednesday of 2001

(Barcelona Central Market)

It was cooked in the Central Market in Barcelona. The largest omelet was prepared in a plate of 20 x 2 meters and 10,400 eggs were consumed.


9. LARGEST FIDEUÁ

Fideuá for 23.500 people

May 1, 2005

(Moll de la Fusta - Barcelona)

Was held at the Moll de la Fusta in Barcelona. There were used more than 2,500 kg. of noodles, 1850 kg. of fish and over 150 kg. of all i oli (garlic & oil sauce).
